"Belle takes advantage of Layle's illegal fare-dodging."	Rated T	Layle/Belle

The Selkie Train is the most reliable way to get around, but the tickets are expensive. The rooms cost an arm and leg, too. Layle pays for neither, using his power as a crystal bearer to get where he needs to absolutely free of charge. He lays across a bed in an unused room, intending to fix it before he leaves to erase all evidence and traces of his intrusion, but someone knocks on the door. He’s been caught a few times and learned it’s always better to pretend to be confused. Most Selkie Guild members running the train are in constant rotation so most don’t see him enough to remember him. The door slides open and- “Belle?” “Hey, Layle.” She looks inside. “Nice room. It must have cost you a lot.” “Yeah.” He crosses his arms and leans into the doorway. “Are you following me again?” “No, I have business with the new Guild Master and saw you head back this way.” She stretches and pushes past him. “I’m so tired, but I got a bunch of good pictures. I even got one of the infamous fare-dodger sneaking into one of the overnight rooms.” “Fine, sleep here, just don’t tell Keiss, alright?” He slides the door shut. “I’d never hear the end of it and…“ His words trail off when he turns to find her right in his face. “Don’t worry, I’ll keep my mouth shut.” She reaches around him to relock the door, and he leans back into it, trying to figure out where she’s going with this. “We can seal the deal with a kiss.” He laughs and wraps his hands around her waist. “Is that all you’re after?” He kisses her and grabs her wrist without warning. Layle’s wallet hits the floor and he leans forward, leveraging his height to loom over Belle and she wraps her hands around the back of his neck to keep her balance. “You’re never going to learn.”
